The Nearsighted Microraptor lives here

I'm still building this nest, pardon the mess

About me

I'm The Nearsighted Microraptor, also known as Mic (pronounced 'Mike'), Raptor, Bird, Avocado, Moss, or Ground Beef (Ground for short). Most know me as Raptor. I'm a horrid little beast. I scuttle. I say swears and make things up. Then I might draw the things that I've made up, and if you're really lucky (or unlucky, depending on your tastes), you might see them here.

Biography

Physically, I was born late 1990's, if the photos are to be believed. Spiritually, however, I hatched from a potato around the same time and immediately demanded Champagnebrus. I do not have gender I do not want any and if you try to give it to me I will start biting.

About this site

I've always wanted my own website, ever since I was old enough to comprehend that it was a possibility. I've always loved petsites and adoptable games, and once I realized that they were made by people, I desired my very own. First, I was on Vpetsite and Vadopts, which allowed you to craft a simple site of your own. When that closed down and never returned, the dream went dormant.

It's still there, strong as ever but with a little more realism and some art skills to back it up. I don't know much about coding yet, but for now, I'm building this strange little website, both to hone my skills, and to make something fun. Be warned that, unlike my future dream of a cute little petsite, this particular site is not made to be safe for kids. I say swears, and draw distressing things, and tell stories about childhood fears, and loss, and beasts, and haunted places.

What I write here about myself and about my life isn't necessarily true, but emotionally it is. Don't take my writing literally. But I am being honest. I am also making things up. You'll understand what I mean as you explore. Or maybe you won't, that's okay too.

All art displayed on or adorning the site in various places is made by me.

About other things

Giraffes are so so large. Wasps remember faces. If you go in a pond, you might get wet. Everything is a fish when you really get into the nitty-gritty of things.
